Public is a pizza shop specializing in Roman-style pizza al taglio, built around an urban, playful, and effortlessly cool identity.
Overview
Public is a modern pizza concept rooted in the bold traditions of Roman street culture. Focused on Roman al taglio slices (honest, flavorful, and made for everyday life) the brand needed a visual identity that felt as confident and approachable as the product itself.
With an audience drawn to authenticity, flavor, and self-expression, Public wanted to stand out with a distinct point of view. Our goal was to craft a brand world that captured the gritty charm of the streets while staying fun, inclusive, and unmistakably original.
This vision came to life through their signature character: Pepe the Pigeon.
What We Did
We developed Public’s brand identity from the ground up, starting with the creation of its signature mascot, Pepe the Pigeon. This character became the heart of the brand, helping to express its playful, urban personality while making it instantly recognizable.
Building on this, we crafted a bold and cohesive visual language, combining typography, color, and graphic elements to reflect the raw, street-inspired energy of Roman pizza culture.
We also designed and developed the website, creating a simple and engaging digital experience that mirrors the brand’s tone and makes it easy for customers to explore and connect with Public.
To bring the brand into the physical world, we created a range of printed assets, from packaging to in-store materials, ensuring a consistent and impactful presence across every touchpoint.
